About Caravan

Caravan Media is a Dubai media company building a portfolio of niche titles, each covering a specific geography or business segment in the Middle East. It was founded by Junaid Iqbal, previously Managing Director of Careem Pakistan, Careem Saudi Arabia and Careem Pay, and is backed by Byld Ventures and Indus Valley Capital. The editorial brief is industry content written by people who work in the industry.

What we did

We designed and built the site. The editorial layout carries video, long articles and shorter industry pieces without three competing templates, and navigation is organised by title rather than by date, so a reader who came for one publication is not dropped into the whole portfolio. Markup and page speed were treated as part of the build rather than a later pass, and the CMS behind it lets Caravan's editors publish and restructure sections without going through a developer.
