hedge fund website examples

These are 14 websites from hedge funds and the firms around them, from Marshall Wace, Citadel and Bridgewater to administrators and asset managers such as Citco and BlackRock, with what each does well and what could be improved.

Most hedge fund sites are deliberately quiet. Marketing rules limit what a fund can say in public, and the people who matter (allocators, consultants, prime brokers and prospective hires) usually know the firm or have been referred to it. So the site’s job is narrow: show that the firm is real and well run, route professional investors to the right gated material, and recruit. The checklist after the examples sets out what that involves.

Work with us

Need a fund website that clears compliance and still says something?

What a good hedge fund website needs

  • Investor gating that matches the rules. A jurisdiction and investor-type check before any fund information, worded with compliance (the SEC marketing rule in the US, AIFMD and the FCA’s financial-promotion rules in Europe and the UK).
  • Complete disclaimers that stay out of the way. The legal text every page needs, without burying the content under it.
  • A secure route to the investor portal. Letters and reports live with the administrator or a portal provider. The site links to it and never hosts them on public URLs.
  • A short, specific description of the firm. Strategy, history and leadership in plain words, with performance figures kept off public pages unless compliance has approved them.
  • Careers as a main section. For many funds, recruiting engineers and researchers is the site’s busiest job: roles, teams and how hiring works.
  • Research only if you will publish it. Papers and commentary build credibility for macro and quant funds. An empty insights page does the opposite.
  • Security and privacy basics. HTTPS everywhere, no third-party trackers on gated pages, and a privacy notice that matches what the site collects.
